A New Friend

Since it's the New Year, I figured that I'd let one of the OC's buzzing around in my head onto my sketchpad and into my little world, albeit a very small one.

Here we see Naoko meeting her new friend, a BlueSprite named Tochi. In my fantasy world, Sprites are little insect-like creatures with different powers and capabilities, depending on their owner (they're categorized by their color, which matches the color of the person they were made for. In this case, Tochi has the same color scheme as Naoko). Most sprites have huge wings in porportion to their bodies and tendril-like legs which can wrap around their owners waist/neck/whatever, thus making it look like their owner has wings. Some can lift their owners off the ground as well.
Cute, aren't they?

I like how the coloring came out, though it's not exactly what I had imagined in my head.
